Industry Participation

Over the last nine years, the CENX team has taken a leading role in defining Carrier Ethernet, developing Carrier Ethernet standards and the market, as well as implementing telecom interconnection through their work in the MEF (www.MetroEthernetForum.org) . This role continues with active participation, leadership and contribution to the technical and marketing committees. Current work (July 2010) is centered around the best practices for the interconnection of Carrier Ethernet services to the benefit the 170+ member companies and the larger community of services providers and end users.

CENX joined Comptel specifically to facilitate and accelerate the adoption of Carrier Ethernet services into new geographies, extending revenue growth opportunites for all classes of service provider members.
